Center for Advanced Neuropsychology is located in the heart of Broward County, in Davie, Florida with satellite offices in Boca Raton and Miami, Florida. Center for Advanced Neuropsychology is a full-service neuropsychology and psychology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive consultation, evaluation, and treatment planning services that integrate research-based knowledge, most up-to-date and relevant assessment materials, and practical “real world” interventions and recommendations.
At Center for Advanced Neuropsychology, our doctors conduct comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. Our comprehensive evaluations are designed to assess a person’s current level of cognitive, memory, and psychological (emotional and behavioral) functioning. The results assist with proper diagnosis and individualized treatment planning for persons facing conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, various types of neurocognitive disorders (previously known as dementia), cerebrovascular accident (stroke or TIA), traumatic brain injury, and developmental disorders to name a few.
Our practice also provides comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for those who are experiencing learning challenges or struggling in school. These assessments are important in determining learning differences, identifying academic strengths and weaknesses, and whether the individual qualifies for a diagnosis of a Specific Learning Disability. These assessments can also be used in conjunction with neurocognitive testing to diagnose Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and to what extent, if any, the ADHD symptoms are impacting the person’s learning and academic performance. The results aid in outlining the proper academic interventions, programs, services, and/or accommodations based on the individual’s needs. At Center for Advanced Neuropsychology, we also perform assessments to determine if an individual qualifies for standardized testing accommodations (i.e.: SAT, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, etc.), in addition to determining a child’s eligibility for “gifted” placement at his/her school.
